Create privacy without making your room feel closed in with our Horizontal Gradation Frosted Privacy Window Film. The pattern gradually transitions between a denser frosted finish and a lighter, more transparent area, softening the view through the glass while allowing natural light to pass through.

Its clean horizontal gradation gives ordinary glass a modern architectural finish without the cost of replacing it with custom frosted glass. It is a practical decorative choice for Australian homes, offices and commercial interiors where you want to screen direct sightlines while maintaining a bright, open feel.

Made in the Republic of Korea from self-adhesive PET film, it features a durable surface coating and is designed for smooth, flat glass.

Privacy note: This is a gradation design rather than a fully frosted or blackout film. Privacy varies across the pattern, and shapes or silhouettes may remain visible depending on lighting, viewing distance and where the film is positioned.

Key Features

Graduated Privacy

The horizontal pattern transitions between a denser frosted area and a lighter area. This helps screen selected sightlines without frosting the entire glass panel to the same level.

Natural-Light Friendly

The film diffuses the direct view while allowing daylight to continue through the glass, helping the room remain bright.

UV Protection

The manufacturer specifies 98% UV rejection, which can help reduce UV exposure to furnishings, curtains and interior finishes. Fading is influenced by several factors, so the film cannot prevent all fading.

Surface Durability

A 2H scratch-resistant coating helps protect the surface during normal use and makes routine cleaning easier.

Dimensional Stability

The PET construction and surface coating are designed to reduce unwanted shrinking, lifting and deformation when the film is installed correctly on a compatible surface.

Adhesive-Backed Finish

The self-adhesive film is installed using a wet-application method, allowing it to be positioned before the water is removed with a squeegee.

Reduced Heavy-Metal Content

According to the manufacturer, the film is formulated without four regulated heavy metals: lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) and mercury (Hg).

How to Install

This film uses a wet-installation method. For the best result, install it on clean, smooth and flat glass.

  1. Measure the glass. Measure the width and height of each panel carefully.

  2. Cut the film oversized. Leave approximately 2–3cm of extra film around each side for final trimming.

  3. Clean the glass thoroughly. Remove all dust, grease, dirt and adhesive residue. Small particles can remain visible beneath the film.

  4. Separate the backing liner. Place a small piece of tape on each side of one corner, slightly offset. Pull the pieces apart to separate the clear liner from the film.

  5. Wet the surfaces. As you peel away the liner, spray the adhesive side generously with water mixed with a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid. Spray the glass thoroughly as well.

  6. Position the film. Hold the film by the top corners and place the wet adhesive side against the wet glass. Slide it gently into position and check the direction of the gradation pattern.

  7. Squeegee out the water. Working from the centre towards the edges, use a squeegee to remove water and air pockets.

  8. Trim the edges. Use a hard card and a sharp knife to trim the excess film in one smooth motion.

  9. Allow it to dry. A hazy appearance or small water pockets can be visible during the initial drying period. Avoid disturbing the edges while the adhesive cures.
